Job Description

Are you an experienced Gas & Plumbing Engineer looking for a new role within a progressive companyWould you like to join a collaborative team working across an extensive Commercial property portfolioWe are on the lookout for someone to join our dedicated Maintenance Services Department, who will work as part of our dedicated team to provide exceptional Property Maintenance and Facilities Management Services… could this be youAbout the Role:Working closely with the wider team, the Senior Maintenance Engineer will be required to help and input into the ongoing development of the departments aspirational growth whilst collaborating with peers across Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services,to forge a well-rounded client service offering.Having previously worked on sites gaining a vast experience of commercial reactive solutions, the Senior Maintenance Engineer is a pivotal role in the operational management of the teams multi skilled operatives and the dynamic reactive business from clients.Predominantly site based, there will be office-based time required, so the role holder will be somebody working under this dynamic currently or looking to make the step up into services management.About You.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to work effectively and collaboratively to ensure allocated tasks are effectively scheduled with clear outcomes, meeting set deadlines and project requirements.You will be proactive and self-managed by nature, able to work from your own initiatives whilst consistently completing work to the highest standard.We seek someone with the following experience and qualifications:

  • Supporting the Contracts Support Managers in the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance clients, building fabric reactive work.
  • Managing small works projects which include setting the site up, making sure all the H&S obligations are in place
  • Operative Job pack administration
  • Estimating and quoting for new and existing client projects which involve going to site to take measurements and instructions to produce competitive quotations.
  • Growing the operatives to meet the scale of incoming projects, with an emphasis on succession planning.
  • Experience in Customer Services and client management delivery, with the ability to communicate with differing levels of stakeholders.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds level 3 Plumbing & Heating (commercial Gas Safe Advantageous)
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 Testing and Inspection,
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Electrical Installations (Advantageous)
  • 18th Edition BS7671:2018 Certified
  • Good Project management skills with a good level of IT Literacy in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Thorough knowledge of Site Health and Safety legislation, IOSH Certificated. (Advantageous)
It is also essential that you possess a CSCS Card and a NVQ Level 2 or above in a trade and a minimum of 5 years commercial buildings / estate maintenance works, would be highly beneficial.What can you expect....This is a hands-on, remote role.
