Job Description

Senior Clinical Genomics Scientist (HCPC registered)UK Based - work from home option availableTEC Partners are pleased to be supporting a digital genomics organisation dedicated to advancing medicine. Using their revolutionary clinical platform, they provide rapid analysis and interpretation of complex genomic data, enabling actionable outcomes.They have an unique opportunity to join their Clinical Team, where you will be responsible for providing clinical genomics expertise (key focus areas are in Oncology, Molecular Pathology & Haemato-Oncology) to ensure ongoing delivery of products and services to their customers.Senior Clinical Scientist responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and be responsible for a high-quality and responsive clinical research genomics service for rare and inherited disease cancer models
  • Provide accurate and responsive reporting to customers and patients
  • Lead a team of clinical scientists to ensure effective delivery of diagnostics interpretations and data reporting
  • Identify and manage an external network of Clinical Scientists to support with key projects where necessary
  • Conduct ongoing performance reviews and development support of the Clinical Scientist team
  • Support the QA & Regulatory Affairs Manager to maintain the ISO15189 QMS
  • You will be required to provide exert input into the interpretation of next generation DNA sequencing data and the reporting of pharmacogenomics markers
  • Provide diagnostic grade reports and authorisation of documents
  • Effectively collaborate with internal teams to create innovative software and workflows for both clinical and research purposes
  • Senior Clinical Scientist requirements:- You must be a Registered Clinical Scientist (HCPC or equivalent) or be able to qualify quickly- Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Genetics (or a related subject), coupled with proven scientific knowledge of inherited disease and disease mechanisms.- Candidates must demonstrate extensive expertise within the field of acquired oncological diseases and the clinical impact- Candidates must possess demonstrable knowledge and experience of a range of molecular genetics or cytogenetics/molecular oncology laboratory techniques and their role in diagnosis.- It is vital that candidates have DNA sequence interpretation and diagnostic report writing experience.In addition to the technical skills and experience, candidates must demonstrate an agile and results driven approach to their work.
