Senior Bioinformatician/BioinformaticianLocation: CambridgeSalary: Competitive A leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a deep pipeline of novel antibody-based therapies in a broad range of indication are looking for a Bioinformatician to join their team. The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, and bespoke platforms.You will work on a variety of projects with Scientists across the company. In parallel to this supporting role, you will also have the opportunity to devise your own projects and influence the development of the companys technology strategy moving forwards. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and Scientific advances and will enjoy working in cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Contributing to the development of the bespoke antibody sequence analysis softwareAnalysing complex datasets from a range of technologies and sample typesDeveloping and deploying software and analysis tools for internal useData curation and managementSupporting patent filingsTeaching and mentoring junior colleaguesPresenting results at internal and external company meetingsKey Requirements:EssentialPhD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or similar disciplineExperience with and understanding of tools used for NGS data analysisProficiency in the use of R and PythonProficiency in the use of Linux and bash scriptingProficiency in the use of relational databasesAbility to contribute independently and collaboratively and to excel in a fast-paced environmentStrong track-record of scientific achievementPreferredExperience within the biotech industryKnowledge of statisticsKnowledge of immunologyExperience with the Genedata Biologics LIMS systemProficiency in the use of DockerProficiency in the use of KNIMEProficiency in the use of Java
