Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has become available to work at a global clinical-stage biotechnology company, who are committed to developing novel vaccines and biologic therapeutic candidates for infectious diseases. This opportunity will also give you theopportunity to grow and develop new skills along with training and developing a new team.Basic Requirements:

  • BSc in Life Sciences or equivalent discipline.
  • Level 3 IAT or equivalent certification.
  • Home Office Licence A-Bs essential, module c is desirable.
  • Experienced in a wide range of regulated procedures
  • Colony management and transgenic breeding experience
  • Significant experience with laboratory animals
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and tasks.
  • Efficient in organising work and schedules.
  • Able to work with Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Ability to communicate with customers both internal and external.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Have a full driving licence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Carry out regulated procedures as required.
  • Supervising, training and developing the team.
  • Carry out regulated procedures as required.
  • Maintain breeding colonies and assist in transgenic breeding projects.
  • Oversee the husbandry of animals within the facility.
  • Carry out additional duties to help set up the new facility.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in animal technology.
  • Work within a team with efficient communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and update databased as required.
  • Work within defined Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to the weekend and out of hours work when needed.
