Job Description

Scientist - Surface ChemistryWe have an excellent opening for a Scientist with a background in Surface Chemistry to join an exciting early-stage biotech company developing ground-breaking technology that can be deployed for a number of applications.Working within a laboratory environment, along with a number of Biochemists, Chemists, and Physicists, you will focus a lot of your time on the synthesis and characterisation of surface structures within the companys devices that have thousands of miniaturised reaction sitesThis organisation is offering you the chance to work on groundbreaking new technology with an excellent starting salary and benefits package.Ideal Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD, B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry or significant industry experience.
  • Experience with surface characterisation techniques and processes XPS, AFM, fluorescence.
  • Understanding of Synthetic chemistry and purification techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of new product development and involvement in transferring processes from R&D into manufacturing.
  • Effective multi-tasking, prioritisation, and time-management skills.
