Job Description

Scientific Writer - Electrophysiology CambridgePermanent Competitive salary & BenefitsDo you have a strong background in electrophysiology Would you like to move away from the lab and into a commercially focused roleMy client are a centre of excellence for ion channel pharmacology, attracting scientist around the world to work on a range of preclinical and clinical research, covering various therapeutic targets. Due to a continued departmental growth, an exciting opportunityis now available for a Scientific Writer to join their site in Cambridge. The Scientific Writer will be responsible for creating customer proposals and scientific content for publication and marketing purposes.As a Scientific Writer you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with clients to establish project requirements
  • Creating formal proposals & documents for projects to include timelines, costs, and high-quality work plans
  • Liaising with laboratory managers and scientist to ensure all proposals meet client requirements and are of the highest scientific quality
  • Creating quality case studies, white papers and posters for use at scientific meetings and for marketing purposes
To be considered for the Scientific Writer role youll need the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
  • BSc, MSc or PhD in biology or chemistry
  • Experience in ion channel biology and/or drug discovery research
  • Familiarity with manual patch clamp electrophysiology, automated electrophysiology, fluorescence-based screening techniques and preclinical drug discovery
  • Experience in creating technical documents would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal, presentation, time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
