RF Research Engineer RFIDCambridge£30,000 - £55,000 per annumA recent start-up with solid connections to the University of Cambridge is seeking a Research Engineer to exploit their unique RF technologies further.They have a fully working product location-based tracker and now looking for a Research Engineer with an RF background to join the team.Youll be working alongside the CTO and the researchers at the University of Cambridge to explore how the RF communication system could be optimised and how things can be tweaked to improve range and efficiencies.Youll be ideally degree educated with a solid background in electronics and ideally RF, wireless comms/radio. Degree, RF, Research, Experiments. Desired: NFC, RFID, Short-range, Python.Performing experiments within the lab or going out in the field testing your findings, recording results, and using your know-how to make recommendations. A competent understanding of the transmitter and receiver modules or SoC. Onboard voltage regulators,integrated antennas, RF spectrum measurements. RFID could be beneficial too. It would suit a Masters or PhD candidate that is seeking a commercial role but still wants to retain the research aspect.
