As a Revenue Finance Manager in this business, you will work within the Finance Department and manage all aspects of the UK Revenue Accounting processes (circa $80m+ annually). You will be supported by the Assistant Accountant. Due to the nature of the businessIFRS 15 is of growing importance. With a state of the art R&D facility in Cambridge, they partner with some of the worlds leading pharmaceutical companies, as well as multipleemerging technology companies, working with them from early discovery through to clinical development.DescriptionAs a Revenue Finance Manager, your duties will be split into 4 key areas;

• Accounting:
  • Calculation of royalty income and management of the relationship with sales partner.
  • Calculation of accrued / deferred income relating to all contracts.
  • Calculation of grant income receivable and provide support for new grant claims.
  • Analysis of new out-licensing agreements in order to determine how they should be accounted for under IFRS 15 (this may involve seeking specialist advice from professional advisers).
  • Creation of new financial models for revenue deferral / accrual.
  • Ensure all passthrough costs are identified, accrued and billed as appropriate.
  • Management of the Sales Ledger (including invoicing / month end revaluations / collection).

• Forecasting and Planning:
• Revenue forecasts (Year to Go, Annual Plan, 5 Year Plan).
• Advisory:
  • Review draft agreements and advise the Business Development team on deal structures from an IFRS 15 and working capital optimisation perspective.
• Compliance:
  • Prepare information for internal and external auditors as required.
  • Maintain up to date process documentation covering the companys revenue processes (as a Japanese listed company, the highest standards of financial governance must be maintained and comply with Japanese Sox regulations).

Profile

• ACCA/ACA qualified.
• 2+ years experience within an industry role (relevant sector experience desirable, but not essential).
• Solid IFRS experience, specifically IFRS 15.
• IT proficient (Oracle Netsuite desirable).
• Ambitious and driven mentality.
• Commercially minded, enthusiastic and motivated.
