CK Group are recruiting for a Research Scientist to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry working at their site based in Cambridge (Chesterford) on a contract basis for 12 months.Daily Rate:£155 (PAYE) - £280 (Umb)Hours of work or shifts:5 days36.5 hoursEssential Requirements: It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK. Deliver high quality in vitro data according to the study plan as agreed with the team leader or project supervisor. Provide expert interpretation of experimental data, identifying innovative solutions to problems and putting forward plans for further experiments. Communicate experimental data and key findings in a clear and concise manner to project teams. Generate and maintain clear electronic experimental records.Research Scientist Role: Degree in cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or a related field and a PhD or 1-3 years equivalent relevant laboratory experience. Evidence of strong technical and experimental ability to deliver data from the lab. Expertise in mammalian cell line tissue culture techniques including cell line maintenance, transfection, transduction. Expertise in a range of in vitro cell based & mechanistic techniques and assays including cellular proliferation and survival assays, flow cytometry and high-content imaging.
