We are currently looking for a Research Associate to join a leading Biotherapeutic company based in the South Cambridge area. As the Research Associate you will be responsible for expanding the companys gut microbiome culture collection and processing clinicalsamples. This role will work closely with other teams to understand how the isolated Bacterial strains may impact health and disease.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Research Associate will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities include:1. The extraction and purification from both patient samples and bacterial cultures.2. To perform PCR and electrophoresis.3. Isolation and culturing of gut bacteria4. Library preparation for DNA sequencingROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Associate we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in the Biological Sciences or relevant research experience.2. Proven industry experience in a microbiology or molecular biology laboratory.3.
