Job Description

ABOUT THE JOBWe are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to work in a small team delivering reception and meeting room services at our two Cambridge sites. This is a great opportunity for you to use your reception/front of house experience to cover a varietyof duties including:

  • Providing five-star customer service, welcoming and booking-in visitors to the building
  • Handling enquiries, including operating the switchboard
  • Post management
  • Supporting with administrative tasks
  • Sending email communications to staff
  • Assisting with Health and Safety compliance
LOCATIONThe role is based predominantly at NIAB HQ, Cambridge CB3 0LE and occasionally at NIAB, Park Farm, Histon, CB24 9NZ. A full driving licence or access to independent means of transport is desirable.ABOUT THE ROLEWorking Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday, 8.30am - 4.30pm; Friday, 8.30am - 4.00pm.Benefits include 25 days paid holiday plus public holidays and 3 days off during the Christmas period, generous sick pay, attractive pension scheme, income protection, life assurance and great colleagues.ABOUT YOU Essential requirements:
  • Experience in reception/front of house, customer service and administration
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to juggle priorities when under pressure
  • Good IT skills (preferably MS Office) including using computerised information systems
  • Be proactive, self-motivated and confident about working without direct supervision
