We are a focused team within Cambridge City Council who are people driven, providing structured support to Refugees fleeing the dangers of their home countries. Our teams focus on safe arrivals and support enablingthose seeking refuge to create a new life within our community. Alongside this, we work on ensuring the City is safe for everyone through different initiativesPlease see Cambridge City Councils information on the Refugee support we provide Refugee support - Cambridge City CouncilOur Community Safety initiatives can be seen here Community safety - Cambridge City CouncilJob Purpose:To join a small team who administratively support our wider teams working directly with Refugees and Community Safety at Cambridge City Council.As you can imagine, with such a people focused environment there are a number of different support tasks involved to help the people running the projects and managers of the different areas. Here are some of them:· information collation· monitoring of projects and budgets· email management and responses (within the teams and with our clients)· project administration· data collection and processing· monitoring and meeting deadlines· performing checks to support our Ukraine Guests under the Homes for Ukraine SchemeThe role is working with people in the wider team as well as other departments, agencies and partners to assist in meeting objectives, outcomes of projects and team objectives within our agreed timescales. Some of the key skills needed for this role are:· Highly organised· Proven Microsoft suite capability· Attention to detail· Ability to manage multiple work requirements, communicate and prioritise accordingly· Work in a team environment with shared responsibilities· Work to deadlines· Effective communication, both written and spokenOur teams are motivated by the work we do and the communities we work with.
