Job Description

Project Lead (Healthcare)Cambridgeshire£60k-£70k + excellent benefitsWe are looking for an exceptional hands-on Project Leader to join an expanding, highly professional, technical R&D consultancy developing new products on behalf of external clients - specifically within their Healthcare department. They work heavily with novel medical devices as well as drug delivery systems which improve lives! They do this by transforming novel ideas, design innovation and advanced technology into commercial products, consistently winning awards for engineering excellence.There is already a highly innovative and fantastic medical device project ready to go, so we are seeking a Project Leader who can come in and hit the ground running straight away! Thus, someone who has run medical projects from end to end would be perfect!As the Project Leader (Healthcare) you will play a key role within the PM teams, as well as leading the project teams, you will be utlising your vast knowledge of project management tools and processes to create, track and report progress on project scope, schedule, resource, budget and risk.Requirements of Project Lead (Healthcare):

  • Track record of leading end-to-end medical device development projects, taking responsibility for quality, time and profit. Experience of requirements definition, design, prototyping, test, regulatory approval, transfer to manufacture and commercial launch.
  • Practical experience of healthcare industry-specific regulatory processes: working to Quality Management Systems such as ISO 13485 and 21CFR820; risk management to ISO 14971; design control; compilation of Design History File; clinical trial support.
  • Project leadership skills to empower the team and drive development efficiently and effectively towards well-defined goals. Highly collaborative bringing both the CDP team together and facilitating close working with the client team and other third-party organisations.
  • Extremely organised and forward thinking, identifying project risks and mitigating them effectively during the development.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence and the ability to problem solve pragmatically.
  • Highly confident to present ideas and results in a compelling way to the client.
  • Commercial awareness gained in one of the following environments: devices development / engineering / quality department of a medical or pharmaceutical company; technical / design consultancy; technology start-up
  • Ambition to learn and develop further technical, quality, project leadership, and business development skills.
  • 1st or 2:1 degree and relevant technical or quality background.
