Our clienta national mental health charity, has recently created an official partnership with a support organisation that helps service-users with drug and alcohol substance misuse support needs reintegrate back into society.Please note: You must have access to your own vehicle as outreach will be part of this role. You must have experience of having supported/supporting clients with drug and alcohol substance misuse support needsYou must also have a 1st or 2nd language in either Polish/Russian/LithuanianThe roleThe main purpose is supporting clients recovering from / struggling with drugs and alcohol substance misuse find, regain, and retain employment.As the Employment Specialist, your core aim is to also help them with their mental health and well-being whilst navigating society reintegration. This could involve helping them to retain their current job. Here you could be liaising with employers or attendingdisciplinary meetings. As well as liaising with other professionals such as GPs to facilitate returning to work.You will also be supporting those who are actively seeking work. So you will assess transferable skills, look at career aspirations, help them apply for jobs, prepare for interviews, whilst managing existing anxieties about returning to work.This is an exciting opportunity as you will be embedded within the drug and alcohol substance misuse recovery support team whilst being the core representative of a national mental health charity You will work with a caseload of 40. Clients could have mild to moderate mental health support needs, and can be referred across via GPs, housing providers, IAPT or drug & alcohol services.There are of course targets to meetminimum outcomes you will be expected to achieve are 2 job outcomes per month ( 1 x Retain + 1 x Regain)You will also be expected to engage with employers to source vacancies via phone, email, and in-person to source employment vacancies for your caseloadyour resilience, and persistence are important for these!LocationYou will be based at the partner offices HQ in Cambridge split across as 2 days x at Cambridge, 1 x day at Huntingdon, 1 x day at Wisbech, and potentially 1 x day working from home (depending on business needs)Big part of this role is community work so you must be flexible to travelAgain, you must have access to your own vehicleApply nowGive Lawrence/David a call for an informal chat (contact details are on our Red 5 People website)The charity are keen to hear from psychology graduates, employment advisors, support workers, and anyone from the health and social care/employability/training fieldWorking hours are Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PMThis is a FTC until Mar 2024 (subject to extension)Interviews will take place ASAP
