Job Description

Reporting to the Manufacturing Team Leader you will be an integral part of the manufacturing team involved in the cleaning, assembly and test of Owlstone product ranges. You will be expected to carry-out a cross-functional role to ensure all products aremade and tested to the relevant internal quality standards.To succeed the candidate will require the ability to follow well defined processes, electro-mechanical assembly skills, a flexible approach to changing demands and the ability to communicate well.Key tasks / accountabilities

  • Ability to follow well-defined processes in relation to creating Test kit assemblies
  • Solvent cleaning of parts in preparation for product assembly
  • Assembly and testing of Owlstone product ranges; including electrical wiring, preparation and install of Swagelok tubing and assembly of components into product casework
  • Reporting issues during assembly/test and providing relevant communication to Manufacturing Team Leader and Engineering
  • The ability to carry out product QC and report issues in the correct manner
  • To follow all specific procedures as defined within the Owlstone QMS, reporting issues or concerns to the Manufacturing Team Leader
RequirementsEssential
  • Delivery focused, with the drive and enthusiasm to meet customer deliverables in a fast paced and evolving environment
  • Well organised and able to follow well defined working practices repetitively
  • Understands the nature of priorities and able to adapt to short-term changes
  • The ability to understand, follow and complete quality documentation
  • Competent self-management skills to allow both structured independent lone working, and integration into working in a cross-functional team
Education & Training
  • Relevant qualifications to support the different aspects of the role
Experience / Knowledge
  • Experience within a small scale electro-mechanical / piece-part assembly environment
  • Ability to complete repetitive processes to the highest standard
  • Pro-active approach to identifying and resolving issues
Skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Good data entry skills and able to handle repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work and communicate well within a team.
