Job Description

A fast-growing solar energy manufacturer is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to work with its diverse and capable management team. The Financial Analyst will lead the companys accounting function and will be globally focused to support rapid salesgrowth across every continent.The role will offer hybrid working conditions, as both remote and office-based work will be required. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for a number of tasks, including management of international trade transactions and coordination of consolidationwork with global subsidiaries. Therefore, a good knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, UK GAAP FRS) will be required.The company culture is ambitious and aspirational and operates with a team-first mindset. You will be working in a small multinational finance team, with close coordination with the Spanish operation.   • Assuring that all UK transactions are properly registered and coordinating with subsidiaries to accurately register inter-company transactions.
  • Management of one finance team member based in Spain.
  • Monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reporting (individual and consolidated).
  • Submitting VAT and Corporation Tax returns in coordination with the Head of Finance and External Advisors.
  • Setting budgets with the Head of Finance and creating reports for presentation to the Management Team.
  • Reconciliating invoices, purchase orders and transactions in the ERP system.
  • Assisting with financial auditing.
  • Assisting with the Intercompany transaction strategy, including transfer pricing and tax implications.
  • Automate and propose improvements to the ERP system.
  • Generating the monthly payroll calculations.
  • Approve, analyze and review sales quotes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts.
  • Developing internal and external relationships with the Management Team and subsidiaries teams, external Advisors and Auditors.
The successful candidate
  • Experience with Dynamics Business Central or equivalent ERP system.
  • Experience in a global company and consolidation is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of tax and regulatory matters in the UK.
  • Up to date with accounting, tax, and related regulations.
  • Ability to converse in Spanish would be advantageous, but not necessary.
  • Proactive and able to drive improvements.
  • Ability to communicate well across cultures and to approach global tasks.
