JOB AD:Job Code: 19003TEBPosition: Logical/RTL Design EngineerLocation: UK, BristolAbout the company:A start up company making huge development in general purpose computing performance and security.Accelerating managed language software, targeting data center deployments through add-in accelerator cards and developing a modified RISC-V processor and an associated software stack. looking to build a team of people who can think on their feet, take ownershipof tasks, and think ahead in the development to keep things flowing.About the role:Were looking for RTL/logical design engineers with 2+ years experience to join an exciting and fast paced environment defining, implementing, and refining components for high-performance CPU core and novel memory architecture. Working on multi-disciplinaryprojects that involve a mix of hardware, firmware and software, and you should be willing to assist with early verification of components (smoke testing).Skills and Requirements:- Strong understanding of synthesizable SystemVerilog- Comfortable working with Python- Experience optimising logic to achieve timing and area constraints- Experience designing one or more of CPU pipelines, caches, or DMA engines- Familiar with Linux and shell environments (bash/zsh)- Ability to self-start and co-ordinate with members of the hardware and software teams- Undertake smoke testing verification of a component prior to handoff to verification- Verification using cocotb- SystemVerilog formal assertions- Design for ASIC and FPGA- Languages such as C and C++- Tools such as OpenOCD and GDB- PCIe, DDR, and other high-bandwidth interfaces
