This is a dynamic role where youll be involved in the preparation and analysis of samples for ICP analysis in solid or liquid form.Preparing and testing material for hardness and viewing its surface/grain structure using various types of microscopes I.e. inverted microscope and SEM (Scanning electron Microscope). The analysis and testing are also required from a Quality perspective toensure products are meeting specification in terms of content and impurities prior to despatching to customers and production. Another task within the laboratory is the preparation and calibration for temperature measurement products for both samples and finishedproducts.All the analysis is conducted using safe established methods and strict adherence to procedure. Most of the analysis performed is of a routine nature and is targeted at the quickest possible turnaround time.What could the future look likeAs a reputable and well-established global company, Johnson Matthey could offer various career paths. To be successful in this role, youll have to demonstrate good writtenand verbal communication skills, numerical skills, strong organisational skills, and attention to detail.Even though, prior experience is a similar field isnt required, it could be beneficial.Even if that doesnt sound quite like you, but you still think you could do a great job in the role, get in touch. • C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English (however lower grades will be considered, so dont be put off)

In the workplace, youll have a mentor who will support and guide you in your work-based learning.Being an apprentice is hands-on, so youll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a University or College environment.The PackageAt Tiro, we make great things happen for people. • Starting salary of £13,760 per annum (raising to £17,000 after 1 year and £20,00 after 2 years)
