Job Description

Our client is a pioneer in the diagnostic precision medicine sector and their product is a novel non-invasive device to improve early detection of cancer, primarily those of the respiratory and digestive tract.We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Manager to play a critical role in the operational strategy, quality & governance of the research and operational laboratory facilities. You will join a team of dynamic Scientists conducting cutting edge research,contributing to earlier diagnosis and better treatment options for cancer patients.In this role you will be accountable for identifying and driving short-, medium- and long-term laboratory strategies ensuring the facilities meet project and business needs. You will also be responsible for establishing new equipment requirements and maintainingkey business relationships with instrument vendors and third-party service engineers.This position is for you if you have: -

  • Strong management experience preferentially across multiple teams/ departments with direct reports
  • Experience managing evolving lab facilities to fit business needs
  • Thorough knowledge of working to quality systems e.g., ISO9001, 17025, UKAS
  • An ability to manage, influence and negotiate with key internal stakeholder across the business
