Job Description

Laboratory Facilities Technician - Cambridge Your new companyOur client are an innovative start-up biotech focussing on synthetic biology driven platform for cell therapeutics. They are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Facilities Technician to join their Scientific Operations Team. This is a unique career opportunityto join a growing team, and to contribute to the generation of this exciting novel cell therapy platform. The Scientific Operations team has the critical responsibility of ensuring our scientific facilities and equipment are operating safely and effectively.This includes maintenance and servicing of all key equipment as well as ensuring uninterrupted supply of key research consumables such as all basic tissue culture plasticware and reagents.Your new role

  • Order and maintain key stock & consumables.
  • Hands-on practical support in ensuring.
  • Administrative support.
  • Work with researchers to identify areas where support is required to ensure the smooth research operations of the laboratories.
  • Aiding the Head of Scientific Operations ensure health and safety documentation is up-to-date and stored correctly.
What youll need to succeed
  • A Level in Science or scientific subject (C grade or above)
  • A BSc (Hons) level qualification or equivalent experience is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting, either in academia or industry is highly desirable
