Job Description

TEC Partners are working with a Cambridge based, rapidly-growing medtech startup that are developing in-vitro diagnostic products. They are currently expanding and are looking for a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician you will be supportingtheir scientific R&D team as well as being responsible for the construction and quality assessment of laboratory prototypes.Lab Technician Responsibilities:

  • Preparing various buffers and standard samples at appropriate concentrations and pH levels
  • Ensuring that samples are accurately documented and tracked and labelled correctly according to SOP
  • Conducting and documenting laboratory tests.
  • Assisting in the cleaning of various prototype equipment and assembly of sub components
  • Testing and carrying out QC checks on components based on pre-defined SOPs
  • Maintaining a clean and organized lab environment
  • Accurate Record Keeping
  • Assisting in the preparation of various organic and inorganic chemicals for usage in the lab and the product
Experience:
  • BSc or equivalent discipline in Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • Previous wet lab experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to follow standard operating procedures including Health & Safety procedures
