Job Description

HR & Recruitment AssistantAJ Chambers are delighted to be working alongside one of the largest and most successful accountancy practices in Cambridge. They are well known for going above and beyond to always fulfil their wealthy clients needs, which they have been doing for overa century.Our client are looking for a HR & Recruitment Assistant to provide a smooth and efficient recruitment and on-boarding process. Whilst, working closely with Head of HR and the rest of the HR team to deliver first class service to Partners and the senior managementteam. With primary focus on the recruitment and induction of new employees, as well as assist with other tasks when needed.Main Responsibilities Recruitment

  • Co-ordinate the administrative aspects of recruitment with minimum supervision.
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with agencies and press regarding the placement of vacancies, ensuring the best rates are obtained at all times. (all T&Cs to be agreed by HoHR prior).
  • Upload roles to job sites ensuring all communication is on brand and attractive
  • Collate, log and monitor applications using Civica recruitment software
  • Arrange interviews in a timely fashion - ensuring the right Partners and HR are present as appropriate.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of the recruitment market within the Accountancy and Finance sector.
  • Producing letters of acknowledgement, rejection and confirmation as directed.
On-boarding
  • Produce accurate and timely offer letters and contracts of employment as directed by HoHR.
  • Take up references and chase for timely response.
  • Generate new joiner forms - making sure IT, Finance and line manager are fully aware of the date of commencement and that IT is set up in adequate time.
  • Set up individuals on Civica HR software ensuring files are ready and accessible upon the commencement of employment.
  • Set up new employees on Perkbox benefits platform and actively manage the system.
  • Liaise with Finance team and HoHR to ensure appropriate charge out rates are allocated.
  • Set up Probationary meetings.
  • Produce end of probationary letters as directed by HoHR.
General
  • Provide support to HoHR and other team members in other tasks and projects as required.
  • Ensure paper files are updated on a regular basis (once a week minimum).
  • Ensure that old files are kept in a secure manner and archived appropriately, maintaining a log of what files are stored and where.
  • Maintain a summary spreadsheet of important information as required for team reference purposes (ie: name, start date, job title, leave date, reason for termination).
Managerial
  • Manage and co-ordinate diaries to ensure timely interviews.
  • Assisting in the day to day management of the PEM HR database and answering queries from employees / Partners.
  • Ensuring recruitment costs are updated on database at all times.
Commercial
  • Dealing with calls from employees, potential employees and employment agencies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Commitment to delivering a first class and confidential HR service.
  • Ensuring accurate messages are taken and relayed in a timely manner.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience of working in a confidential manner is essential
  • The ability to work accurately paying close attention to detail.
  • Motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • At least 2 years Recruitment and HR experience is essential.
HoursYou will be expected to work a minimum of 30 hours from Monday - Friday.Remuneration Package:Our client is offering an attractive salary of between £28,000 and £33,000 , alongside the following benefits:
