Job Title: Head of RegulationContract: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: £62,256 - £76,090Location: Cambridge or CoventryWhat it’s about The Head of Regulation leads OCR’s strategy for engaging with its regulators. It leads and manages a team to evaluate OCR’s regulatory compliance and risk, and works with the whole business to generate insight about business process performance. The Head of Regulation also works across Cambridge Assessment to build understanding of regulation and how to communicate effectively with regulators.What you’ll be doing Strategy: Lead the development of OCRs regulatory policy and engagement strategy, anticipating regulators’ future priorities and actions, and working across OCR to develop and promote regulatory compliance as a strategic driver in OCR’s work to become ‘best for all learners, best for teachers’.Regulatory reporting: Oversee an efficient and comprehensive Issues Management and Reporting Process that meets the regulatory requirement to notify the regulators and generates robust management information on business process performance for OCR’s directorates to use for continuous improvement and engagements with the regulators.Insight: Lead an accurate, current and efficient compliance evaluation process that articulates OCR’s real-time compliance position and regulatory risks, and generates insights that integrate into other appraisals of business performance such as product, process and quality analyses.Building internal understanding: Lead the development and provision of high-quality advice, support and training in relation to regulation and engaging with the regulators, and promote this to the business.Leading and managing: Lead and managethe Regulation Team to be the core of regulatory expertise in Cambridge Assessment, to innovate and test/challenge the regulatory envelope and internal business practices, and to promote positive, honest and constructive relationships with regulators.What we’re looking forQualifications
