Our client, a Cambridge College wishes to recruit a Head of Facilities.Head of FacilitiesLocation: Cambridge, CB2 Contract: Permanent Salary range: £49,794 - £59,421 per annum, points 52 - 58 on the University’s pay spine.This post is responsible for co-ordinating both the planned and reactive maintenance for the College’s Estate. The post-holder will ensure an efficient maintenance service is delivered across their historic heritage buildings as well as their more modernbuildings and have an understanding of the relevant listed planning restrictions. In addition, they will manage and oversee departmental budgets, ensuring compliance within legislative requirements and that they are in keeping with their carbon reduction objectives.The Head of Facilities will join them at an exciting time for the College. They have ambitious decarbonisation plans that need expert execution. The post holder will also have the opportunity to lead the multi-year estates modernisation plan.The role calls for strong organisational and communication skills with a high degree of planning and attention to detail. Significant experience in the facilities management sector is essential. The successful candidate will also have strong financial skillsand be able to work well under pressure. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to prioritise and work under pressure.The salary is based on the University single salary spine between points 52 - 58. This currently equates to £49,794 - £59,421 per annum. Salary progression through the range is discretionary. Benefits include an annual leave entitlement of 25 days holidayplus 8 bank holidays; an excellent contributory pension scheme provided by the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS); free College meals when on duty and subsidised membership of the College gym facilities.Closing date: 12 noon, 4 March 2024.
