An opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic business within the property sector as they seek to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team. Within this role, you will report into the Finance Director. The role has become available due to a departurewithin the team, and is an exciting opportunity to join them as they continue to build and grow as we move into 2024. This role will be initially office based whilst you are inducted and trained, but does offer a hybrid working policy.As the incoming Finance Manager, you will work closely with and mentor the Accounts Assistant, whilst being tasked with the following responsibilities:- Drafting of Management Accounts for review by Financial Controller- Management of the Service charge function- including maintaining budgets and year end reconciliations- Preparation of VAT returns- Oversight of AP, Banking and Cash allocation- Providing budget information for other departments within the business- Additional duties as requiredAs the successful applicant, you will have previous experience working within a similar level role, with excellent knowledge of accountancy procedures. It would be advantageous if you had previous experience working within the property sector. There will beline management responsibilities within the role, however this is not essential to have prior. Additional attributes you will possess include:- Excellent knowledge of accountancy systems- Strong attention to detail- An effective communicator on both a written and verbal level- Ability to prioritise workload and delegate when required- Strong work ethicThis role is a fantastic opportunity to work for a business with a wonderful culture.
