Job Description

Field Service Engineer - PV. To cover Cambridge, Luton & Bedford areas.£39,000- £42,000 + standby + callouts.The renewable energy industry is set to become the number one Creator of jobs in five years time, and as this innovative sector continues to grow and diversify, there has never been a more exciting time to be a part of it.I am currently working with a true pioneer within the renewable energy industry, in the search for a number of Field Service Engineers to join them, as part of strategic expansion plans from an ever-growing orderbook and client-base. They are seen in theirindustry, as the go to supplier of the construction, management and maintenance of photovoltaic equipment. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you the exciting and secure prospects you are seekingWorking within a small team of talented Service Engineers, you will take ownership of the preventative and reactive maintenance of photovoltaic systems, for a well-established client-base in the Cambridge, Luton and Bedford areas.The key responsibilities of your new role as Field Service Engineer, are as follows:

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance of photovoltaic equipment.
  • Visual inspection activities, cleaning and reporting any issues to the management team.
  • Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance on module mounting systems, fences and gates, and inverter and transformer stations.
  • Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment.
  • Maintaining security system devices.
  • Carrying out fault-finding on electrical components.
  • Executing corrective measures.
  • Engaging with Subcontractors.
My client is keen to find someone with a Level 3 Electrical Certification and at least five years experience working in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, on industrial sites. Photovoltaic (PV) experience is also essential and you willneed to hold a full, clean UK Drivers license.Regardless of previous expertise, you will self-motivated and pragmatic, by nature, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.My client is offering a basic salary of £38,000 - £42,000 with paid standby and callouts. You will also receive a company vehicle and fuel card, pension and 25 days holiday per year, plus Bank holidays.
