Job Description

My client is looking for an Mechanical Engineer Technician to join their team of world-leading Engineers who provide operational support to the farmers across our growing fleet of mini-farms nationwide. They are looking for a practical, hands-on, outgoing person with experience in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.This is a UK-based role that requires a driving license.Contract: Temp to PermPay: £12- £13 per hour (Depending on Experience)Must be Flexible with working hours.Duties Include:

  • Providing technical support to installations, both in-person and remotely
  • Performing corrective and preventative maintenance
  • Analysing remote performance data, diagnosing issues, fault-finding and determining the root cause of failures
  • Liaising with customers to ensure any concerns, issues and defects are addressed to their satisfaction
  • Essential skills and qualifications
  • To be a practical, hands-on type person who enjoys interacting with farmers and being on farms
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a plant, processing or manufacturing Environment
  • Able to carry out wiring and re-wiring of low voltage (24V) systems and mains single and 3 phase
  • Able to take initiative and work independently with limited supervision
  • Able to maintain, disassemble and reassemble pipework installations including PVC, stainless steel and hoses
