Job Description

Embedded Systems EngineerCambridgeAre you a passionate Embedded Systems Engineer and looking for an exciting new roleCoulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Embedded Systems Engineer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Cambridge working as part of their Research and Development team.Principle Responsibilities for the Embedded Systems Engineer:-

  • Writing firmware (small embedded PIC32 microcontroller)
  • Building custom Linux kernels
  • Board support packages (BSPs) for hardware platforms based on e.g.
  • The project will require appreciation of the low power, low memory footprint of software on such devices and an appreciation of communications interfaces such as I2C, UART and/or SPI
Person specification:-
  • Experience with that or a similar platform (e.g. Arm Cortex-M, Arm Cortex-R
  • Experience with embedded Linux systems
  • C/C++
  • Must have excellent decision-making skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations head on.
  • 5 years experience developing in an embedded environment
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the technologies involved in their current experience.
  • Strong Academic background (including A Levels )
