Job Description

Electro-Mechanical SupervisorTaking the lead within our clients department you will be a skilled wireman / assembler who has significant experience of builds across electro-mechanical systems. You will enjoy working in a process driven environment with support from your peers. To besuitable for this role you will have experience of supervising a team while having the ability to read electrical drawings and being a hands-on leader that is involved in day-to-day projects.Start: ASAPLocation: North CambridgeSalary: Circa £35,000Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - FridayDuration: PermanentBenefits: 25 days Holiday + 8 bank holidays, life assurance 4 x your salary, healthcare insurance benefit, pension, up to 10% off railcards for being based on the science park in CambridgeDuties:

  • Building and delivering electro-mechanical systems on time and within budget.
  • Managing processes and resources, as well as taking a hands on approach to builds
  • Ensuring safe working practices within the department
  • Delivering system builds on time and within budget
  • Providing clear feedback on design and process during transfer from product development to production
  • Use of SAP for processing of production order progress
  • Driving continuous improvement activity (e.g. HPS, 5s, TPM, Kanban, KPIs)
  • Implementing Quality Controls (work instructions, SOPs, inspection gates and testing)
  • Facilitating and contributing to daily Production Gemba Performance meetings
  • Power Cabinet panel wiring
  • Mechanical assembly (flash heads, pipework, cabinets, power cables)
  • Electrical / functional / safety testing of system builds
  • Supporting the commissioning and installation processes
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Experience of leading and supervising a small team
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical builds
  • Understanding of control systems alongside mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
  • Awareness of PLC hardware and software
  • Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Lean methodology
  • Experience of new product development processes
