Job Description

Electrical Design/Programming Engineer - CambridgeA client of mine, in the Automation indusry, is now looking for an experienced Electrical Design and Programming Engineer to join their operations department on a permanent basis and be responsible for the electrical design and programming of bespoke machinery.Duties will include:

  • Produce electrical schematics, software and PLC programs for bespoke machinery
  • Meet agreed deadlines for electrical design and programming designs
  • Carry out the commissioning and programming process for automation projects
  • Assist in the mechanical assembly and installation work
    • To be suitable for the role, you will need the following experience:
  • Experience with PLC programming (Ideally Beckhoff)
  • Microsoft Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Electrical design knowledge (Ideally Eplan)
  • App writing - C++/c# (Ideal but not needed)
  • Robot programming (ideal but not needed)
