Job Description

DevOps Engineer – Data Visualisation£45,000 - £75,000A Cambridge based software house who specialise in building data visualisation applications that brings connected data to life for cyber threat investigation and fraud prevention, are looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to work closely with their outstanding development team.In this position, you’re goal will be to ensure the development process runs as smoothly as possible and you’ll be responsible for designing, developing and deploying dependable infrastructure for their cutting-edge and products.You may already work as a DevOps Engineer or perhaps, in your current development role, be undertaking DevOps responsibilities which you are eager to build on. You should hold some of the following skills to enable you to really “Hit the ground running”

  • Development experience with JavaScript and ideally TypeScript (Node.js also highly desirable)
  • Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker.
  • Experience with a cloud platform ideally AWS and/or GCP
  • Version Control knowledge using Git/Github/GitLab
  • Linux
  • This is an extremely important hire for the business and the successful candidate will be pleased to know that they will have an influential position within the company and their ideas/input may shape the future of their in-house DevOps capabilities.As a team they run 2 week sprints to take their product to the next level however, on Friday’s it’s down to you. This company puts huge trust in their employees and want you to develop alongside the business therefore, Fridays are for you to decide how best to spend your time. This could be working on a bug that’s been bugging you all week or potentially take a course on the latest tech that’s grabbed your interest! You will have serious opportunity to develop as an Engineer here.They are currently fully remote and when the current situation normalises they will still be offering excellent flexibility with only 20% of time required in the office.
