  • £45,000 per year Plus a company car allowance!
  • Working Mon - Friday
  • 45hrs minimum per week

Job Opportunity Securitas is looking for a Deputy Campus Manager to join our security team in Cambridge. You will be responsible for managing the security staff and the security issues on several sites within 8 miles radius. You will work closely with the Campus Managerand the client to ensure the security service is of high quality and follows the Securitas Values of Helpfulness, Vigilance and Integrity.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the security team, including Managers, Supervisors and Security Officers. Set and maintain high standards of performance, conduct and behaviour. Motivate and support the team and provide feedback and training.
  • Ensure compliance with the clients security standards and policies. Document, communicate and update the site security procedures and align them with the latest security requirements.
  • Plan, propose, deliver and improve the site security systems and infrastructure. Monitor and respond to the CCTV, intrusion detection system and other security equipment. Report and fix any faults or failures.
  • Manage the security operational deployment and ensure the team is deployed effectively and professionally. Provide excellent customer care and communication with the client and other stakeholders.
  • Report and investigate any security incidents or breaches. Manage the security team during emergencies and provide support to the emergency services and the incident control.
  • Promote technical solutions and innovation to enhance the security provision on the site.
People Management:
  • Training and reviewing performance of Managers, Supervisors and Security Officers.
  • Monitor and ensure that the security team carries out their assignments in a highly effective, efficient and consistent manner.
  • Responsible for planning, organising and scheduling duties to Security Personnel to ensure optimum utilisation of resources and exercise maximum controls with adequate freedom to enable the Security team to respond.
  • Resource planning and to oversee the recruitment of security officers at site positions.
  • To ensure appropriate processes are in place to approve and control leave, sickness absence and overtime to ensure appropriate cover of shifts.
Essential Skills
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in security management or related field.
  • A valid SIA licence and a full UK driving licence.
  • At least 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations.
  • Knowledge and experience of security systems and equipment, such as CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel between sites as required
