Job Description

Job title: Contract Python Automation EngineerLocation: CambridgeJob Type: ContractOutside of IR35Rate: £45 - £55 per hour (depending on experience)Duration: 6 MonthsStart Date: ASAPSoCode Recruitment are seeking a Contract Automation Test Engineer to work with a highly successful Cambridge based company that aredeveloping technology that enables reliable connection on the move.You will be involved in the following:

  • Delivering adaptable software interfaces, automating the lab equipment, tools and devices
  • Upgrading the test software interface and test framework to a more robust platform
  • Participate in technical discussions and code reviews
  • Generating technical documents, user guides and manuals
  • Maintain an awareness of industry standards and technical development
  • Implementing modular library codes in Python with error handling and exceptions
  • Owning the project and collaborating with peers
You will have the following necessary experience/skills:
  • A result driven approach and strong attention to detail
  • Experience of understanding lab equipment and developing APIs
  • Strong understanding of Python, Visual Basic, and Windows GUI apps
  • Delivering automation frameworks using Python, working to tight timescales
  • Interpreting written requirements and technical specification documents
  • Able to work with engineering teams across various disciplines
  • Great organisation and planning skills
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
