Job Description

Business Development Manager - Employment£28k basic plus performance related £3k per quarterBased anywhere in the Uk with Monthly, quarterly meetings at HQ in Hertfordshire/Cambs areaOur client set up in 2002 with the purpose to improve local Deaf support services in Cambridgeshire for Deaf people. The business has since grown to a diverse team of 35 people and a freelance network of over 1500 delivering a nationwide service. Our clientthrive by empowering groups and individuals in commercial companies, courts, schools, universities, police stations, and hospitals plus many other organisations, institutions and local authorities. In the last 12 months they have supported over 900 studentswithin tertiary education, secured jobs for 96 Deaf people and assisted with 10 healthy births. Their work is as diverse as those they work with.They are very proud of the work they do and the people that lead the business, aligning their vision and values to those they provide work for and those that work for our client.We are looking for an experienced business developer with previous experience of employment programme delivery.We need you to have Knowledge with:

  • Employment sector
  • Employment programmes
  • Disability support requirements and types and contracting arrangements
Overview of the role;
  • Employment sector commercial lead responsible for unit growth
  • Leverage knowledge of relevant employment programmes (IPES, JETS, Restart, CAEHRS etc.) and programme delivery (primes, subs etc.) to increase revenues
  • Leverage existing relationships within the employment sector to increase revenues
  • Identify new employment opportunities, prospect and pitch
  • Identify opportunities within existing employment business to maximise current revenues via strategic up- and cross-sell
  • 1 day per week to be spent on education sales with a focus on needs assessment centres (full training will be given)
You will be responsible for
  • Increase employment revenues
  • Identify and onboard new, high value employment business
  • Scale existing employment business via strategic up- and cross-sell
  • Develop strong relationships with prospective, new, and existing key account clients
  • Optimise employment profit margins by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of both supply- and demand- side commercials in negotiations with prospective and existing clients
  • Own relationships with needs assessment centres to increase student referrals (education)
