Job Description

Business Development ManagerDrug Development and Discovery ServicesWe have a number of job opportunitys for a Business Development Executive/ Manager with a strong technical and practical background Drug Discovery or Early Drug Development or Bioanalytical. The roles are working for international CROs. The role are remote HOME based with UK or Europe.Ideal candidates will have a strong technical and practical background (with demonstrable experience) of current cell or stem cell development/screening or Bioanalysis. Commercial experience selling services and solutions to the pharmaceutical sector along with some scientific knowledge and awareness of the broader drug development process will be advantageous.Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Experience within either drug discovery services, Early drug development, clinical development, Bioanalytical
  • You will focus both on new business development by generating and qualifying sales lead / enquiries while supporting and growing existing relationships to increase sales across a portfolio of selected customers.
  • You will work closely with the Business development team providing market knowledge, influences and work with company CRM to ensure client information is current.
  • You will work closely with colleagues in quality, development and manufacturing functions to support new client programmes are delivered on time and budget.
    • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree above, life science preferred.
  • Experience in selling complex CRO services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech sector or working experience in drug development, discovery or Bioanalytical
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements for drug development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required; experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities and projects with dynamic timelines to execution.
  • Focused and results oriented.
  • Experience working in a highly technical organization interacting with scientific and technical personnel, procurement and business leaders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with sense of urgency
