Business Development Manager - Software SolutionsBasic salary to £40,000 with uncapped OTE circa £64,000 + car allowance and benefits Home based in the UKMy client has a global reputation for supplying outstanding marina management software solutions. Their software is used by harbours and marinas worldwide to easily and effectively manage their clients, information and resources. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join the team in a business development role, targeting clients both in the UK and overseas.THE ROLE:* This is a new business focused position selling to senior managers and C-Suite decision makers within marinas, harbours and ports. * The product is a software solution for effective management of all marina activities including client management, resources, staffing, reporting and financial activity which integrates seamlessly with Microsoft applications. * Youll be following up on enquiries, sourcing new business and building a pipeline of sales opportunities. This is a solution driven sale which may involve dealing with multiple decision makers and some longer lead times.* Its a home based role but working both nationally and internationally so there will be a need for overnight stays.WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR: * Were looking for someone with a great track record in selling software solutions with the aptitude to quickly pick up and understand software product features * Ideally youll have a good understanding of the marina industry but we could also consider experience selling software into other areas of the leisure market place.* Its important that you have great verbal and written communication and presentation skills and can build rapport with people quickly and effectively. Also, youll have strong negotiation skills and the ability to close sales.* Youll need to be comfortable working from home with both national and international travel so a full UK driving license is essential and youll need to be able to stay away from home when needed.* Most of all, youll be self motivated and driven with exceptional problem-solving skills to clearly understand and address client requirements.THE PACKAGE:* A basic salary up to £40,000 per annum is available dependent on experience* There is an uncapped commission structure which equates to an additional £24,000 per year based on target achievement* A car allowance is included of £6,000 per year plus expenses* Additional benefits are also available* Great product training is offered and the chance to join a business with a great global reputation.This is a fantastic role for someone with software sales experience in a related sector and its available immediately.
