Job Description

An established Biotechnology Company is looking for an experienced Bioinformatician, with a highly quantitative background, to join their exciting and highly rewarding team in Cambridge.The CompanyThey are working on paving and spearheading the future of Genomics. Their technology are improving treatments in health, disease and drug response.Bioinformatician Role:This fantastic opportunity is needing someone to come aboard and Build robust pipelines and ad-hoc scripts to analyse sequencing data. You will receive a competitive salary, the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and varied role and work with an ambitious and highly rewarding company.Other role responsibilities include:

  • Write production-quality implementations of data normalization and machine learning algorithms
  • Support the assay development team with experimental design and data analysis
  • Assist in developing and optimizing novel algorithms to improve product performance and patient outcomes
    • Bioinformatician Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics-related subject, preferably with 1-3 years postdoc and/or industry experience
  • Proficiency in scripting using python or bash
  • Experience in working in a UNIX environment
  • Biology or genomics knowledge preferred
    • In return, you will receive a salary of between £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, excellent benefits package and ongoing career development.The interview process includes an initial telephone interview followed by video/onsite interview.
