Job Description

Working here means being entrepreneurial, thinking big and working together to make the impossible a reality!The R&D Associate Scientist position in Formulation Sciences is a laboratory-based position for performing formulation development activities of therapeutic protein and novel products from pre-clinical through pivotal clinical trials. The position will involve use of innovative and modern techniques to characterise and develop formulations with appropriate stability profiles of candidate molecules to meet project needs.Position Requirements

  • Experience and understanding of routinely used analytical techniques (HPLC, UV-vis spectroscopy, HIAC, MFI, DSC, DLS, Rheometer, CD, Fluorescence) for formulation development is helpful.
  • Candidate will also be involved in lyophilization, liquid, and liquid in device development initiatives that impact the critical quality attributes of the product during early as well as late stage of formulation development.
  • Candidate is encouraged to present the data from formulation as well as technology development activities at internal and external meetings.
    • Education: BSc or MSc in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, biochemical engineering or related field.Experience:
  • BSc, MSc in pharmaceutical industry/academia as appropriate (biotechnology area preferred).
    • Job Complexity:
  • Complex position involving hands-on technical work for protein and novel molecule formulation development.
  • Position requires a thorough understanding of scientific method, protein biochemistry, and characterization techniques.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills are also required.
  • Candidate will be expected to lead multiple projects simultaneously, appropriately prioritise their work, and work with often-changing timelines.
    • Supervision: Encouraged to work independently with limited supervision. Will be provided with broad general goals and will be expected to plan, propose, execute, analyse, and report results and conclusions of experiments and other projects to supervisorAdditional Note(s):
  • Experience with protein/peptide formulation and process development are a plus. Additional experience with the above biophysical techniques is highly desired.
  • Strong social skills, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential
