Job Description

I am looking for an experienced Citrix Engineer to provide 3rd Line technical support to a large portfolio of End Users, on behalf of a global IT Professional Services business.This is a hybrid role.Inside ir35.The Role:

  • Help maintain the Citrix infrastructure and customer solutions.
  • Provide End Users with a technical solution within the agreed SLAs.
  • Act as a main escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Support teams.
  • Provide a key point of technical escalation and expertise.
  • You will provide recommendations, and deploy changes as/when required.
  • Contribute technical support to all on-going projects as/when required.
Skills/Experience required:
  • A minimum 3 years experience as a 3rd Line engineer within a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to respond to End Customers by telephone, electronically or face to face.
  • Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop Support Experience is essential.
  • Citrix Provisioning Services / Machine Creation Services support experience.
  • Hypervisor (XenServer, ESX and/or Hyper-V) Experience.
  • Remote Access (NetScaler / RDS Web) Experience is essential.
  • Microsoft Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services Experience.
  • You must be able to provide a valid Citrix Certified Administrator/Associate Accreditation.
  • A solid understanding a proven experience around Citrix NetScaler and its capabilities within an EUC platform.
  • Awareness of Atlantis ILIO and its capabilities within an EUC platform.
  • Strong knowledge of other EUC technologies eg. AppSense, VMware Horizon, RES etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Any valid Vendor Accreditations within the area of Citrix would be highly advantageous.
  • Windows 2012/2016 MCSE/MCITP experience would be beneficial.
  • Citrix Certified Professional or Citrix Certified Expert (Virtualisation, Networking or Mobility) would be extremely beneficial.
  • Ideally you will hold ITIL Foundation certification (V2/V3).
  • Any experience/knowledge of Azure and AWS would go heavily in your favour, in securing this position.
