Job Description

Role: Part-Time Accounts AssistantLocation: Cambourne, CambridgeshireHours: Monday - Friday 9am - 2:30pm, 9:30am - 3pm or 10am - 3:30pmSalary: circa £27,000 per annum pro rata (around £13.50 an hour)Duration: PermanentBenefits: 23 days holiday + bank holidays & closure over Christmas and New Year. Team social events throughout the year including Christmasparty.This is a part-time Accounts Assistant role that would be ideal for someone who is looking to work around school hours or no longer wants full time work. We are looking for an Accounts Assistant who has previous experience within Accounts and enjoys transactional work including invoice processing, bank reconciliations and data entry.You will work closely with the MD of the company who has up to now been responsible for all Accounting responsibilities, but due to the growth of the business is looking for support in this department of the business. You will also be communicating withthe wider team therefore it is essential to be able to communicate effectively across all departments.Who are weWe are Busy Bee Recruitment, an awarding-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our wonderful client base.Main Duties:

  • Post supplier invoices
  • Prepare supplier payment runs and one-off payments
  • Complete card purchases on behalf of employees
  • Import monthly employee expenses
  • Enter bank transactions and reconcile accounts
  • Complete month end trade debtors’ and trade creditors’ reconciliations
  • Provide ad-hoc support as required
  • Chase overdue payments with debtors
  • Check for payments from customers
  • General accounts filing
  • Assist with payroll when required
  • Bank/ Credit Card reconciliations
  • Prepare invoices for payment
  • Take credit card payments over the phone
About you:
  • AAT Level 3 or above qualification - full or part qualified is desirable but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and multi-task when necessary
  • Ability to work alone and prioritise tasks as well as working within a team
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
  • Competent in the use of Excel and other Microsoft packages such as Word and Outlook
  • Committed and hard-working with a flexible approach
