Finance Assistant - Contract Role - Hybrid Working

Job Description

Our client based in Cambourne is looking for a finance assistant to complete a contract which will go until September 2023.Its a full time role, 37.5 hours a week, and has the flexibility of Hybrid working, with the option of 2/3 days in the office and the remainder home working, if this is a preferred requirement.This is a busy varied role, and we are looking for someone with previous finance support experience.The duties will include:

  • Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
  • Type periodic reports and other records
  • Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoices
  • Check vendor files for any previous payments and correct errors
  • Prepare workflows listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
  • Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
  • Ensure the accuracy of information posted to our accounts
  • Communicating with suppliers and internal customers
  • General Accounts Receivable responsibilities
