Job Description

Job Title: 1st Line Service Desk EngineerLocation: LeedsSalary: £21,000 - £25,000Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, shift patternOptm is a multinational technology company whose mission is to provide innovative software solutions and services to optimise people, technology, and management in day-to-day organisation workflows.Our solutions connect talent, processes, and technology, to provide unprecedented observability and enhanced security for our customers.Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join our team.You will be based in our State of the Art offices in Calverley and work with a fun, enthusiastic and ambitious team!We invest heavily in our team which is reflected in us holding an Investors in People Platinum Standard accreditation and by us continuing to develop talent from within.What you will be doing:

  • Analytical fault finding on networks and systems
  • Repair of end-point systems
  • Password resets, profile repairs/configurations, new starters, mail release/block
  • Communication of information to technical and non-technical users
  • IT service desk experience
  • IT service delivery
What we need from you:
  • A "customer first" mentality
  • Solid experience in 1st line IT support.
  • Technical experience or qualifications in Microsoft and related products desirable
  • Experience of service desk environments, ideally in an MSP environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • To be able to answer calls promptly, log service tickets with the relevant and correct information and to perform 1st line checks on the calls logged. While meeting customer SLAs.
  • The ability to keep documentation updated and add to where required.
  • Server, storage and end-point technology exposure.
  • A desire to learn and expand knowledge to grow within a competitive team
