We want to support you to reach your full potential as a social care professional.Training in key areas such as, First Aid, Safeguarding and Non-Abusive Physical and Psychological Intervention is all provided as part of the role.You will support the young people in their home, the classroom, and out in the community. This means no day is ever the same. Our Care Assistants have supported residents to attend festivals, go rock climbing, try archery and even on holidays!As a Support Worker you will experience challenging behaviour, but we will provided you will the appropriate training and a series of shadow shifts so you can be confident in your ability to handle these situations safely. Our friendly team will also always be on hand for advice!This position involves delivering personal care, including toileting and bathing.About usPegasus School is an independent specialist day and residential school for young people aged 8 to 19 years with severe learning disabilities, autism and associated challenging behaviour. Many of our students also have mental health and therapy needs.We believe that students should be happy, have fun and enjoy their learning. We improve the lives of students by supporting and encouraging them to choose activities and by introducing them to new experiences and opportunities.
