Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Great Yarmouth. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting teachers in educatingchildren with challenging behaviour, emotional and mental health difficulties.Responsibilities:• Support teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with SEMH needs.• Implement individual education plans for students.• Use a variety of strategies to engage and motivate students.• Assist in monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.• Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers and therapists.• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.• Support students with their emotional and mental health needs• Attend regular training and development sessions.Requirements:• Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, particularly with SEMH students.• A good understanding of SEMH and behaviour management strategies• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.• Dedication to supporting high-quality education for students with SEMH needs.If you are passionate about supporting SEMH students and have the necessary qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you.
