Job Description

Plant ManagerCaerphilly County20904/611m£50-60,000This is a great opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to join a rapidly growing organisation. Working in the field of biotechnology, the successful candidate will have a strong manufacturing background and experience of implementing continuousimprovement culture and LEAN methodology. In this position you will oversee various departments and implement the businesses strategy.Job Description

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Increase manufacturing, delivery quality and performance.
  • Ensure high levels of OTIF and adherence to plan achievement.
  • Work with Production supervision to maintain and ensure employee engagement.
  • Develop all production and warehousing employees along with clear objective frameworks.
  • Enable our key capacity increase project and help to deliver the future state factory.
  • Ensure a systematic approach to control of all operational management activities.
  • Proactively work with Supply Chain to improve stock churn and reduce obsolescence.
  • Forge strong working relationships across the Senior Leadership Team from Sales & Marketing to Technical and Supply Chain.
  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
  • Make recommendations to the C-Suite for CAPEX to help deliver efficiencies and ongoing HSE requirements.
Requirements
  • Significant and proven experience of leading a manufacturing facility, with demonstrable experience of defining and delivering the change programme to achieve the future state facility (ideally multiple times).
  • Sound knowledge and delivery of lean tools, techniques, and culture.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Safety first culture
  • Extensive knowledge of industry best practice process.
