Job Description

We are recruiting for two new jobs to work on the exciting Dyfodol Gwyrdd (Green Futures) project taking place in Penderi. We are looking for a Dyfodol Gwyrdd Officer to lead and develop green volunteering and training opportunities and a Dyfodol GwyrddAssistant who will support them. Together they will deliver nature-themed community events, green skills volunteering and education activities designed to improve wellbeing and green spaces.Our ideal candidate will know the Penderi area (Blaenymaes, Cadle, Portmead, Penplas) and we particularly encourage applicants that reflect the diversity of the community and/or have lived experience that would help them in the role.This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.Job Title: Dyfodol Gwyrdd OfficerResponsible To: Youth and Community Development Manager and CEOResponsible For: Leading the delivery of the Dyfodol Gwyrdd project, delivering nature-themed community engagement, volunteering and education with activities designed to improve wellbeing through volunteering and training in the Penderiarea including establishing the Penderi Green Team to provide local green skills volunteering opportunities for the people of Penderi (Blaenymaes, Cadle, Portmead, Penplas) whilst helping to improve local green spaces for people and nature. This project ispart of a partnership project with Pobl and Urban Foundry and is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.Pay Scale: £26,762 per annum pro rataHours: 30-37 hours per week fixed term until 31st December 2024 (with hope of extension).Annual Leave: 28 days p.a. plus statutory bank holidays, pro rataThis post is subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check before starting the post.Job Title: Dyfodol Gwyrdd AssistantResponsible To: Dyfodol Gwyrdd OfficerResponsible For: Supporting the delivery of the Dyfodol Gwyrdd project, delivering nature-themed community engagement, volunteering and education with activities designed to improve wellbeing through volunteering and training. Assistingin establishing the Penderi Green Team to provide local green skills and volunteering opportunities for the people of Penderi (Blaenymaes, Cadle, Portmead, Penplas) whilst helping to improve local green spaces for people and nature. This project is part ofa partnership project with Pobl and Urban Foundry and is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.Pay Scale: £13,890 per year (Based on £22,841 full time)Hours: 22.5 hours per week fixed term until 31st December 2024, with hopes of extension .Annual Leave: 28 days p.a. plus statutory bank holidays, pro rataThis post is subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check before starting the post.
