Job Description

DescriptionPay rate: £11.33 - £11.85 - Depending on Weekday/Weekend nightsShift Pattern: 11:00pm - 07:00am2 WAKING NIGHTS ONLY (16 hours) + adhocMonday - Saturday, with some flexibility on which days you can doLocation: Butts Green SO51, just outside of Southampton.We do cannot provide sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in the Southampton/Portsmouth area.Due to the location of the patient, candidates MUST hold a full UK driving license and have access to their own vehicle.Requirements:

  • MUST have worked as a carer previously in the UK (Preferably atleast 6 months experience)
  • Experience working closely with families of the supported (Preferred)
  • UK drivers license ESSENTIAL + vehicle
This role will be supporting an elderly lady with dementia throughout the night, she lives with her daughter who is her primary carer. Key ResponsibilitiesIf you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else’s life then we want to hear from you.Our support workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.You’ll receive fully paid, on the job training and you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills whilst cultivating a trusted relationship with the person you support. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseYou’ll need to:
  • Be caring and approachable
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Be patient and welcoming
  • Be Helpful, reliable & professional
  • A positive outlook
  • Able to help with personal care
  • Able to prepare meals
  • Potentially administer medication and Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or related topic, or be willing to study towards this
