Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Payroll Officer who is adept at handling payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payments.Client DetailsThis is a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Manchester. The organisation works tirelessly to make a positive impact in the community. They are renowned for their commitment to excellence and the exceptional service they provide.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of a Payroll Officerwill include, but may not be limited to;

  • Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
  • Contribute to the teams effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Stay updated on current regulations and policies affecting payroll procedures
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages
ProfileA successful Payroll Officer should have:
  • Not for Profit and Charities background
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to commute to Bury
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
