Job Description

Join the Maths department of a large mainstream secondary school in Bury, as a passionate and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher.Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school in Bury who are looking to appoint a Maths teacher to fill a current staffing gap, until the end of the academy year. For the right educator there may be scope for a permanent contractto be offered.

  • Full-time Maths teacher.
  • Required from January 2023 until the end of the academic year, with a potential permanent contract for the right educator.
  • Paid in line with teaching scale - £28,000 - £43, 685.
  • Teaching pupils aged 11-16, across KS3 and KS4.
The incoming Maths teacher will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and will be expected to take on a full teaching timetable. The successful candidate will also be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside delivering lessonsto meet the needs of learners at varying levels of learning ability. It will also be important to monitor and assess pupils progress and be able to report this back to the Maths department should it require further discussion.Our client school is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M61 and A676 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Prestwich and centralManchester.To be considered for this position, the incoming teacher must have QTS and experience teaching Maths to GCSE level.
