Job Description

Do you have experience working in primary schools Are you looking for your next step in your education career Contact Tradewind today!We are looking to recruit a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) based in Prestwich.About the Role:The successful candidate will be welcomed into a friendly, supportive team. The HLTA role includes:

  • Assisting the class teacher in the organisation and preparation of the classroom.
  • Teaching phonics lessons to groups of children.
  • Using lesson plans to lead small group/whole class sessions.
  • Working alongside children to support the learning in class.
  • Using the behaviour policy to support in the management of behaviour.
To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:
  • Have school-based experience and HLTA qualifications.
  • Experience and knowledge of phonics phases.
  • Hold a valid DBS or be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
